The course introduces students to the concept of Political Economy and examines, the relationship between politics and economics, modes of production, classes, stages and processes of subjugation, domination and exploitation of Africa by Europe and the effects of these on socio economic development of Africa. It also examines the position of Africa in the present structure of the international system and globalization.

International Relations as a course of study is designed to explain the meaning, nature and scope of International Relation. It considers the concept of International Society and its features and some of conceptual approaches and theories to the study of the course.
